Mozilla has made available Firefox 9 Beta for download

Mozilla has made available Firefox 9 Beta for download. The look and feel remain the same but there has been major upgrade in the performance. The performance increase in this release is a result of a new feature developed by Brian Hackett from the Mozilla developers team. It is called ‘type inference‘. What it does basically is it eliminates the need of the developer defining a variable i.e. it quickly chooses how to handle JavaScript itself.

Apart from the different stability issues that are fixed in this version, standard support for HTML5, MathML and CSS makes the user experience enriching and beautiful.

You can download Firefox 9 for Mac, Windows, and Linux and if you are a Firefox fan do not miss watching this recently released video that talks about how Add-ons put you in control of your web. The way Mozilla likes to put it – Customize, Personalize, Enhance!
